Hey Guys, Im Jay im new to this forum, but after reading a few posts i must admit you guys really know what to do when it comes to fish. Since I want to treat my fish right I think its only right for me to sign up and learn as time goes. My tank: Well my tank is a 90 Litre tank thats around 23 gallons, its 90 cm in length, has a good heater, waterfall filter system, and all the basics... however I got a bigger filter than the one that orignally came with my tank. I test water regularly, i take out any remaining food floating around etc My Question: 1. After doing alot of research for a few months, I had to get a FlowerHorn (FH), such an aswesome and intelligent fish :p, its still very young around 4 inches? A little hump has started to develop, but I think its to early for me to say if its a guy or girl? 2. My other question is, I keep it with other fish of his same size, and fish that will probably grow at h is pace... i have 2 Clown Loaches 2 Bristlenose 2 Rainbow Sharks 2 Jewel Chichlids They are all young, i had a molly in their to warm the tank up as a test fish, and first day I introduced my flowerhorn, he/she smashed it, didn't think something so young had so much punch. Are these fish ok with flowerhorns? I know that Bristlenose are, and he leaves the clowns alone, but he DOES go after the 2 jewel chichlids time to time. 3. My final question is, I am feeding my fish, Nurafin max fish food (i have one that is normal food and the other containing high level of shrimp)... i feed my fish two times a day, but little at each time. I would really like if you guys could give a noobie some tips?

The flowerhorn is eventually going to need a significantly larger tank, i believe most people recommend a 75 gallon for a single specimen, and usually they're kept alone due to intense aggression

^^ yep i will be upgrading it for SURE. The guy at the store told me for a year it should be fine in my current tank :D thanks for the reply!

no problem, but that guy will probably outgrow your tank in less than 6 months, let alone a year. what are the dimensions?

29CM width, 40 CM height and 90Cm length?

hmm.. im thinking he'd be okay in there until he's probably 15-21 cm, hopefully somebody else with more experience with these guys chimes in, all i really know is that they can be very territorial and grow at a decent rate

yeah ive had him for a week, i can tell his growing LOL... but i hear they all look the same when young? I can see a little bit of purple on his belly, a little red/orange on his tail and fins? :p i got no idea lol, and yeah i think its a male, im not sure if females are so damn active, i doubt he sleeps lol

get a smaller species of pleco. I had sucess with keeping a FH with one b4

Here are the pics of my Flowerhorn, any suggestions :p? or guesses on gender or color?
