I recently "inherited" a 75 gallon tank. It has a Cascade 1000 canister filter, a DIY bottle and sponge filter with 1 liter of K1. Two nice pieces of Texas Holey rock several slate caves and river rock gravel substrate. My q
question is about the livestock. It`s a mix of New and Old World cichlids and two other fish.

1x Jack Dempsey 2-2.5 inches
1x Convict 1-1.5 inches
1x Blood Parrot 3 inches
1x Jewel 2 inches
1x Bumble Bee 2.5 inches
1x Yellow Lab 7 inches
1x Cobalt Blue 4 inches
1x Melanochromis Chipoke 7 inches
2x Orange Zebra 5 inches each
1x Sydodontis Eruptis catfish

1x Banded Leoparinus 8 inch

Alright, from experience, I need to know who if anybody needs to go. So far there has been no fighting really. Some brief chasing, not a lot. The big Chipoke seems to be the "tank boss", although the little Jack Dempsey is no chump. Everyone stays out of the catfishes way even though he has zero aggression. All eating and seem healthy. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

The yellow lab and colbalt blue + others are mbuna. Mbuna are very aggressive and will likely terrorize that jewel. Might not work out long term. The Jack Dempsey will also get very aggressive as it reaches maturity, mine would terrorize my Oscar lol.

Would love to see a pic of that 7 inch yellow lab, and I say dump the new worlds and the others and keep the mbuna and add more.

I haven`t taken him out and laid him on a ruler or anything but, hes`s huge. I`ll try to figure out how to put a pic of him on here. I`m new to this site.

how long have these fish been together? some people have new and old worlds mixed, but long term i would think as the fish grow and mature, beatings and deaths will occur.also the fish i feel are too many, filtration should be added.some people like crowded tanks.keep in mind that as they grow, they can change attitude, when M or F get ready to breed

I'm not sure how long they have been together. As far ad filtration, I'm planning on buying a fx6 soon. Until then I'm adding a ac 110 for a little extra.
