I currently have a 4 inch Azul and a 5 in largemouth bass in a 65 gallon eating anything but live with is awesome. Once they get big enough they will go into my 240gal. My question is how do I introduce them properly. They are separated in the tank right now because when I let them interact, they begin what seems as a death caged match. Would rearranging the tanks ornaments help? I only have some artificial plants and not many rocks because debris always gets caught around them. In my 240 gallon, I have a 9 inch Temensis with a 6 inch rtc x tsn hybrid that I am assuming would try and eat either bass if put in. I have debated on seeing how the LMB would do in the big tank or even getting rid of him. I caught the LMB when he was only an inch and has kind of a sentimental value to me. My Azul is obvious a more beautiful fish, let alone much more expensive. I would love to raise the 2 in the 65 gallon together for awhile but I am so afraid I would find a dead bass eventually. Anyone with a similar experience or any advice? Thanks guys!!

You have a lot of variable to attend on this but it can work. I would add some dither fish like silver dollars first. The RTC will eat them also.

I think that is what I may have to do, just the LMB looks really cool. May let him go in with the Tem and see if he can hold his own. I do have a 1.5inch unidentified cichla that I would like to put in with the Azul. Would the Azul most likely eat him or you think he is still too small to attack something like that?

You can see in the last pic that they still wanna kill each other even with the divider in there
