this is just my advice for those who are new to cichla and question we see on here often..please feel free to ad your own Q&A..
Q - What is the minimum tank size?
A - depend's on how many baby cichla you may have.pbass tend to do better in groups of 3 or more.are also easier to pellet train due to they fallow eatchother.so a minimum tank size i would say is a 55 for 3-5 baby cichla.baby's love to chase eatchother and thrive on just having room to swim and hide..
Q - Why not feed feeders/guppies/goldfish
A - feeder's can also be sick with parasites..if possible avoid feeders 100%..feed them frozen blood worms for example..get them beefed up and once they come up to the top for feedings throw freeze dried shrimp or a half of pellet of hikari massivore..also u can crush up a massivore pellet and mix it with the frozen bloodworms..this way works also..
Q - how high should the water temp be?
A - ideal temp is 83 degree's.with plenty of aeration.
Thats what i have so far that i can think of.if anyone else would like to throw some q&a's in feel free..and vote to make this a sticky thread..
