Hi. I am getting a 8x4x2 400 gallon (478 US gallon) tank for rays. I have set up a 6x2x2 before and constructed my own sump etc but this is on a different scale plus i want to install a drip feed to eliminate water changing. I would like to get peoples thoughts on pumps. I use a ocean runner 6500 on my 150 gallon but am looking at the sequence pump for the new tank. I was thinking the 10000 one and this would look to turn the tank over 5 times per hour, is this enough for rays? I saw a guy on another thread using the 12000 sequence and someone thought he was mad as the pump was so huge. But when it comes to rays i was thinking 5 times an hour is not enough. What are your thoughts please? Are there any other pumps that are good on energy usage (which the OR6500 is not!) as i am also thinking i should run 2 pumps in case one fails.
Thanks
