OK. At my LFS im friends with the owner. He has a Black Arowana he is trying to sell for 250 bucks. Its about 10". He said he would give me a discount and sell it to me for 150 bucks. Is this a good deal? I really think im going to do it.

Second question is that the tank i was planning on putting the Arowana in has Two Bichirs in it. They are of simular size and have not been aggressive to any other fish. I figured this would be a good tank mate because the Bichirs spend 99% of the time on the ground and the Aro will spend 99% of the time at the surface.

I also have a pritty heavy surface current going. Would this affect the aro? I could move the output or try way to defuse it.

Nice deal.

"Wait for it....."

Sounds like a good deal if the aro has no noticable defects, and yes the aro should be fine in your tank.

very good deal for that size! but make sure you can commit to buying a massive tank before you buy this fish, as he will need a 125 ATLEAST during the first year

So i currently have a 90 gal. I was going to start with this size. He has been at the LFS for about two months now. He is kept in something close to a 30gal and....the owner of the store has a divider in the tank so he is only getting about 16" of length. So i really feel bad for it.

So im hoping it will be ok with the 48" lenth for 9 months or so, until i can get something that is 72" long.

I know some people will be upset about my tank size but i figure its better than what hes in now and he will have the whole top of the tank to itself.
