Hello Guys,

I am in the middle of looking at houses to buy currently and am centralising the new house around a deam tank so i will be finind a property with a garage backing onto a through living are so that i can have a inset monster tank.

I have purchased 2x hammerhead pumps and a large FBF already. I was planning on a tank with a 10-12 foot viewing pane max 3 foot high. I have had quotes for a 10x3 cell cast 25m pane at £1800 but have seen for sale 6x4 50mm acrylic sheets for £450 (see link below) I am very tempted to buy two and put a split viewing pane.

Q is this: Does having a central divide complicate or impede on strengh / asthetics compared to one larger viewing pane. thoughts would be appreciated.

I personally this this offer is too good to refuse

I love my 2 pane tank (although I have a single sheet of glass in it). I think the look is great. Plus for you the cost is way cheaper, and thicker. Go for it.

I think i am going to order 2x and build a 14Lx3 1/2Wx4H double paned for some rays.

I have enquired if they can do a smilar price for a 8'x50" peice which i think will be tons better for a 10 footer but well see come tomorrow if now back to original idea :)
