in the now!!
trying not to feed my orinos live but made a mistake last night .fed them broken up freeze dried river shrimp for a change instead of blood worms they seemed to like it so i put alittle more then went out to dinner came home and cheked them they looked fine there was most of the extra shrimp but if i figured leave it in and they will eat it.well got up at 430 it was still there so i picked it out and cheked the params and had a little spike so i hit the tank with a little amquel params are better now. my long winded question is how much does a spike like that effect small 1.5 to 2 inch bass .dumb mistake on my part yet again. thanks in advance for advice.

come on guys im new to the bass i know its probably a dumb question but im trying to learn. When i posted my first pick one of you said make sure to remove uneaten food . so are bass that sensitive to water params like that guy led me to believe?

about 6 weeks Im hoping it was just because i left the shrimp in over night. Also do you like prime or amqeal better or just same?bass in tank for two weeks.

probably not thats kinda what Im asking .I cant put them in one of my big tanks becuase of size .So was using stability seacham.how sensitive are the small bass?

Small bass are very sensitive to abrupt changes but are quite tolerant if the change takes place slowly over time. Ive seen pbass live in some very high ammonia environments. The differance is ph and hardness. In really soft water with low ph, fish are less affected by high ammonia. The higher the ph and the harder the water is, the more deadly the ammonia will be.

thanks for the info venom I got three orinos from rapps two seem to be growing great the third runt got his eyes sucked out by the other two or possibly the same size wild peruve oscar from rapps . I moved the oscar to be safe .At what size could i move them with an arrow who is about 8 inch now .the orinos maybe 2 inch . I was hoping to move them about 6 inches . Maybe arrow will be 11 or 12 info would be appretiated.thanks in advance.

You cant move them in with the Aro untill they are big enough that they cant be eaten by it. If the Aro stays very well fed you might be able to do it sooner than would be expected, but it is always a very risky move when predators are in the same tank with fish that can fit in their mouths.

thanks again venom for the info . I was thinking with the arrow being 12 and the orinos being 6 that would be big enough for the bass .after some thought about what you said i would be taking a big chance.
