Advice on Blackwater extract for RBP

Looking for advice on using Blackwater extract for my red belly piranhas. They are very shy and often scare if anyone moves by their tank. Current have 8 rbp in a 125g. Has anyone used Blackwater extract??

I used it and seen no difference in my water color. I wanted that dark brown water so I decided to use real driftwood.
Gotta say, I really like what the driftwood did. It made it look like that Amazon water. I really like that brown color water.
Didn't really do anything about them being really skittish. They still run away when anyone comes close to the tank.

blackwater extract uses peat to darken the color of the water, I did see a yellowing of the water when I used it, but it quickly goes away, make sure not to use carbon pads or it even goes away faster. it may lower pH slightly if used in large quantities.
