Advice on buying L190

Hello. I've got my heart set on a Royal Plec and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what I'm looking for when I get one. Someone told me something about not getting one that's too fat or to thin but how do I determine this? Thanks all

Just realised how stupid that sounds!!!! Too fat or too thin!! This guy didn't explain it very well bug told me to look for a certain shape behind the fins. Again, any help would be nice. Thanks
