Check out the General Brackish subforum. There's a sticky on how to set up a brackish tank and what supplies you need.

You'll probably need a device to read the specific gravity, and a plan to make sure the tank is escape proof.

Here are my current stats for my eels:

Salinity Level: Low end - 1.005. They will go high brackish as they grow.
Temperature: 80F
Substrate: Sand

Supplies you'll need:
Hydrometer
Instant Ocean Marine Salt
Measuring cup
And all the obvious: heaters, filters, conditioner, etc

I find my eels love to dig and wiggle their way through holes so some hiding spots would be great in keeping them happy and feeling safe! Holey rocks, pipes, even large bottles might work =) They also love having each other around! I used to have only have one and he didn't start eating until I got him a friend. Now he's a piggy! They also poo just as fast as they eat so having good filtration/water circulation is a must!

Good luck with your tank and eel keeping! They are by far one of my favorites to keep!
