hey i have a beautiful flower ray and the owner befor me had him feeding on blood worms through a turky baster.. so i tried the same and he wanted nothing to do with it.. so i bought a few ghost shrimp and he went after those.. any advice on what to use if i want to hand feed???

a steel based gauntlet. If not, a bullet proof glove would work as well. If those are not accessible, also try feeding it cut up shrimp. :D

i tried the shrimp and he loves them just wont come off the bottom of the tank for it he waits till i drop it the hits it on the bottom.. i will give the nightcrawalers a try.

hehe give it time, soon enough he will realize that when you come near the tank=food. They're preeety talented on sensing that. Eventually when you come near, they will all get excited.

First get to know the rays temperment, do everything slowly, sudden or quick movements will startle the ray. Which could cause casualty to the ray or to you.

I hand feed ghost shrimp to new rays. then move to recently deceased ghost shrimp. then to krill. you might try something similar to get it back to blood worms?

great advice guys thanks, keep it coming. what your saying makes since cause in the last week he has seemed to warm up to his environment alot. he hasnt buried himself in the sand as much as befor. i guess that is a good thing
