I was wondering what sort of glass is used in making an indoor pond and basically trying to get some info on making my own. Like :: surely the pond is set on the ground (right), and what sort of filtration is used, i mean can you use a canister type filter or what??

Any info would be very appreciated

Thanks

you got to be a little more specific
what size atleast
a glass pond would just be a big tank sitting on the floor
bould it out of wood with a pond liner thats the cheapest and easiest and use whatever filter is apropriate for the gallons

I have built a 400 gallon timber pond that houses 2 14 inch peacock bass, 2 16 inch red bellied pacus, a 12 inch chocolate pleco and a 13 inch marmoratus catfish. I simply stacked 4x4 timbers in an alternating fashion while driving 2 6 inch spikes through each one into the timber below. I also drilled 1/2 inch holes down through each corner and put a 3/8 inch piece of rebar in it. It is really solid. I have a standard powerhead to help with water flow and aeration. I used a 1400 gal/hr pump and a fishmate pressurized canister pond filter with mechanical, bio filter inside and also a uv in the middle of it. I added an additional prefilter to help with filtration. My fish are happy and healthy. The filter also has a flushout which makes water changes extra easy. Will have pics when I have a camera
