Trinidad West Indies
Hey guys, anyone out there can offer some advice on helping my ID shark to start back eating?Setup is a 100G Tank with 10 Kois and 1 ID. The ID is about 3 yrs old and about 12-13 inches I have been to one of the major fish farms in Trinidad(where i live) and they told me that if i change the food he will stop eating for around 2 weeks,is this correct? TBH i changed their food up a couple times just so they can have some variety in their diet.I always gave tetrapond Koi sticks, they all loved it that's what the ID grew up eating, then i started giving them a different type the variety blend from tetrapond,i also mixed in some tropical flakes, some lettuce so they can have some vegetation in their diet,he hasn't eated in about a month give or take a few days,to my knowledge anyways.about 2 weeks ago i woke up one morning and saw one of my butterfly kois piece of his tail missing, not rot or anything, got to thinking if my id ate piece of his tail,i'm at witts end here.the ppl at the fish farm told me to just stick to one diet, don't change anything up,and in a couple weeks he will start back eating.Any adice is appreciated.Thanks.Sorry bout the long post.

the only active agent in those products is garlic juice, you can get if from a normal piece of garlic without spending the extra money :)
