Hi all,

I am currently on a business trip and my wife noticed yICH on one of my peacock bass.
Since I am not there to fix the situation, I am really worried :(
Pic attached.
I instructed her to increase the temp to 30c (1 degree per hour).
I dont wish to use meds or salt, especially since she does not have any experience about it.
I also have a fire eel and oscars.
I will be returning home in 3 days.
Do you suggest I do something else in the meantime?

Thanks

Without salt or meds, you're only alternatives are to raise the temperature to 32C to kill the ich, increase water surface agitation by adding airstones if you do not have it already, and have her gravel the substrate every day.

At 30C the ich just stops replicating.

Hi I use Seachem Paraguard dosing for 7 days and always cures my ich.

*Canadian fish keepers*
They have banned fish medicine for canadians (unsure if just Ontario or all of canada) and now Bigals and many other fish stores will no longer sell fish medications such as Seachem Paraguard. Amazon is currently still selling it and I highly suggest you pick up a large quantity before it disappears. New law here is you need a prescription from a vet to get the medicine for your fish.

Raise temperature, aquarium salt and soak its food in garlic, worked really well for my oscars
