Anyone know of anything that I can use to attach PVC to the inside of my tank under the water while the fish are still in the tank. I have noticed the silicone around the glass getting worn away buy the sharks fins. I am thinking if I cut some pvc pipes in half I can cover the corners so they cant be rubbed by anything. But the tank is full and I don’t have anywhere to put the fish for several days to drain the tank and perform a repair. I know DC 795 and other silicones cure under water but I have found they don’t work as an adhesive well when used in that manner. It does not have to be water tight.

Thanks for any help Jason

Can't say that I know of anything that will adhere and cure underwater (and be non-toxic).. I'd be interested as well if you do locate something.

I'd bet BP has been looking for something to do that down in the gulf for months now too. :grinno:

I dont know what its called but maybe you could use that glue marine guys use to glue their corals on to rocks

Superglue? Probably not a good idea to squirt it in your tank, but it's non toxic if you let it dry first.

one product i have not used but it says it will cure under water Two Little Fishies Aquastik Underwater Epoxy Putty but don't know what it will bond to or how it is to work with

How much adhesion do you need? I think the silicone solution you posted above is the best option actually.... unless you're talking about he silicone in the corners of the tank. In that case, you will eventually need to break down, drain and reseal the tank.... or live with it.

superglue gel. i would do strips of plexi insted of pipe tho. just an idea. i would look alot nicer and not take up as much room in the corners
