Advice on price

Hi I'm currently researching and preparing a Ray pond 6x7x2 with a pair of Motoro and a pair of Leopoldi later down the line. What sort of price should i be looking at per fish in the uk please
 
Are you thinking purchasing pups or larger?
Motoro pups are ten a penny, easily pick up pups for £100 a piece for decent animals and Leo I'd say you'd be looking at £250 a pup upwards roughly

Motoro are super cheap you could get a pair for £180 but recommend you get marble motoro at around £400-450 the pair

The price of Leo has also dropped but it's now hard to find standard Leo so you can get a pair of Leo/bd for around £600 the pair
Leo/bd are sort of Middle of the road grade Leo p13
Leo the lowest grade
Leo/bd slightly better
Bd being the highest grade Leo p13

Thanks for the info any recommendations on UK breeders if possible the South East
 
Also my pond will be 6x7x2 is this big enough for a pair of Motoro and Leopoldi?

To be honest you won't be able to be picky on location as most Ray keepers would be willing to drive one end of the UK to the other for the right fish

Just keep looking on aquarist classifieds things come up from time to time but look daily as things move fast

If you want marble motoro and Leo/bd at the prices stated try wharf aquatics in Nottingham

If you want a bit higher grade I was told and saw some pure bd pups for a steel at £300-550 from pier aquatics but they have a waiting list

Prices have crashed but I can't see them dropping anymore as the prices are back to what they was 10 years ago

Cool don't mind a road trip for fish tbh. Would be good if I can find a good breeder stockiest local as a bonus. Just finished reading an article in pfk about the guy who keeps Rays from wharf

Yes he is on this forum user name aquaman drop him a pm and get your name on his list

Pearls will also be a better option than motoro again at wharf and price for pearls was the same as marble motoro last time I looked

You will be ok with about 6 rays in the tank the size you stated for a good few years if you get them at pup size
