Looking for stocking advice on a 55g tank. Currently has several small peacocks and a group of 5 established lemon yellows. Also a pictus cat, 5" pleco and an old docile 5+" S. fryeri. I'm thinking of taking out the maybe 5 small (2-2 1/2) peacocks and replacing them with 3" coloured male peacocks.
How many peacocks would you suggest if I remove the smaller peacocks? If the lemon yellows become a major issue they can be moved but I would prefer to keep them in there. The 55 is a 4' tank. Filtration is a HOB and a magnum canister.

thanks

If the 2.5" peacocks are doing fine, the 3" ones should be fine too. (At least for the short term)

What size are the established peacocks now.

Eventually, peacocks grow quite large , and you might have a problem with full grown males in a 55 (males being aggressive )

Just tonight I removed the peacocks and put them in a 90 with other haps and peacocks I've been collecting for the 300g (not set up yet). I've left the lemon yellows in the 55g. My thoughts now are to maybe add another group of mbunas (5-6)that will co-exist with the lemon yellows. I really love having that bright yellow in that office tank (55g). Gotta figure out what group to add, prefer to go with ones where the males and females are coloured, preferably in blue (not demasonis).
