So I am trying the NLS 10 day challenge. All my fish but the Oscar are eating it, he has only been feed Hikari since he was 2". He seems to only want floating food, normally I would just starve him for a few days to see if he eat. However the problem is his aggression is spiking and I worry about the other fish.

Should I just give in and feed him hikari and feed NLS to the rest of the fish?

Another thing I have noticed, is that since switching to sinking food there is a lot more aggression when eating. My Green Texas defends the whole area of food until he is chased away by the osacr or he is full. Then the jack dempsy starts chasing the smaller fish away from the food.

I guess sinking food stays in one area, where the floating spreads out and gives each fish their own space.

I think the floating NLS only comes in extra large, and jumbo. That's all I've ever seen for sale and that's all they have listed on their website.

I would just stick with it and see if the oscar adjusts. You could also try feeding in two different spots in the tank at the same time and see if that helps. I had the same problem when I switched foods, it seemed the oscar would get alot less food when I used sinking pellets. He would always hang out near the surface begging for more food when I went by, so I just fed the whole tank as usual, then spot-fed him a few extra pellets.
