I have a 36 gallon reef tank. I have several snails and hermits in my tank. My tank has been setup for about 5 months now. I now have approximately 45lbs of live rock in the tank. Over the past 2 weeks, I have lost 2 hermit crabs and now a snail. Is this something I should be concerned with? And what should I look at to fix a potential problem? I am new to the saltwater world. All corals and fish seem to be doing fine.

Tank Mates: Clownfish, Yellow Sleeper Headed Goby, Royal Gamma, Sea Urchin, hermit crabs, snails. I have my salinity around 1.022 and my water temp around 75 or so.

temp is low I would have it around 78 degrees to 80 degrees F. Do you notice if its just your hermit's killing your snails for there shell's which they do all the time and it drives me crazy so I never keep hermits anymore lol

Hermits love to eat snails , all the ones ive come across... pick one or the other!

not only that but be sure to remove their body's out of the tank immediately after you declare them dead... They completely destroy the water.

what really makes it fun is when your hermits hide the dead snail bodies in rock crevices and you don't know where and your tank's ammonia, and nitrite starts to rise slowly and your clueless as too why.
