Hi, new here but not the fish keeping.

I am looking at setting up in Sth East Asia with rays, some Hypans and a few others.
Just checked with cites and it looks like I need certification for export.

Anyone with experience?

Thank you.

Sorry I can't offer any CITES advice but I was wondering what is a Hypan?

Hypancistrus catfish genus
Mainly L46, l333, L260

Also looking at newts, frogs and a few other things.

We are setting up as a local co-op venture micro enterprise to encourage small land holders

So it's not strictly a commercial venture for myself but the local community

Certainly sounds interesting and I wish you the best of luck for the venture

Sorry quite new to forums

Thanks appreciate the good support

It will be interesting if we can get it to work, as we r just organizing land that we will be trying to grow various vegetable and fruit crops but my interest is in the ornamental pet trade after having run a goldfish/tropical fish breeding business in New Zealand.

As most know Thailand has a vast selection of fish avalable and I've just secured supply of 10" BD, Hystrix, Schroederi, Leopoldi, Motoro, Pearl, Tigrinus and a variety of cold and warm water fish.

We really need CITES sorted from what I gather before we proceed.

This project belongs to the community so I get to walk from it once it's underway.
