Advice to save my Rusty

I have one male rusty, and I recently put in 3 female rustys with him and others in a 55G tank. I am concerned with the male lately. I do not see him eating with the others, and this morning he is near the top with his mouth moving more rapidly them normal. My "quarentine tank" is currently holding the three bumble bees that were not playing nice with the other fish, so I do not have another tank to move him into. It also appears that he has a mark on him (like he was attacked) on his side near the top fin. He is a beautiful fish, and would like to save him if necessary.

Any advice is appreciated!

The other option I have is to move him into a 20G tank with mollies and tetras... however I do not want him to kill / eat them??? not sure if this is OK or Crazy!
