my 55 gallon just broke out with ich. i have a pictus cat, jaguar, jack dempsey, pacu, pleco, and a firemouth. i used melafix but what else would help the problem? pimafix? high temp? water change? Also How deadly is ich? is it a big deal?

aquarium salt turn temp to 30 or 86 for three days......... times does times 1.5 to start..... 3 days the litle ick son of beauches will be a memory....... Im not sure about the pleco but all the others can handle the heat and salt...meds are bad for pitus they have no scales.........

thanks but can i mix melafix or pimafix with aquarium salt? and what kind of aquariumm salt do i use?

Why do you want to use melafix or pimafix? It is not going to help. Just go to the store and buy some ice cream salt.
Use API aquarium salt, turn the temperature up to 87 ish degrees, and do a 30% waterchange everyday until the ich goes away. Don't add melafix or other additives it will make matters worse.
