Currently I have 4.5 or 5 inch male ebjd I tried to pair him up with a female jd but I guess she did pair up with him because she will chase him away frm her , soo about 3days ago I traded her for a smaller female she is about the same size or a half inch smaller than my male , soo I put them both in my 30gal and they was lip lockin for a few mins and them my male didn't pay the female no attention the thing is everytime I put him in my 30gal he get really strees and don't act the same soo I put both of them back in my 240gal, in my 240 he swim eone of the happest fish and he eat like a pig but everytime I put him in my 30gal he dossent eat, soo bassicly I need some advise on wat should I do both of them follow each other I'm my 2s0 and I thinl they paired but wat should I do ?

Youre doing it the hard way...buy several females and let them pair naturally. Even doing that may not guarantee a sucessful pairing...

get a larger tank for them to breed in and just leave them there, a fish that is used to a nice big tank with lots of tankmates tend to get stressed and inactive when suddenly put in a small tank with less cover. get like a 75g and just leave him and the female in there so they arent getting stressed from you constantly moving them

and not to be rude or anything but your ebjd kind of has a beak face, so i mean hes great for display since he has nice color but i dont think he is really the best specimen to be breeding and spreading his genes...
