Aequidens ID/Questions

What species of aequidens is this? I believe its 'diadema'. Is it rare/common? What's the max size? What would be a good "LFS price" at around 3"? Any other information I should know if I was to purchase?

I have one too, its diadema although I have seen something similiar under a sp/locale name. They go for 12 to 20 around here. Mine was a sample sent to lfs, but I've been seeing them more and more. Really cool fish.

It's $30. Do you know there max size - temperament?

Mine doesn't seem to aggressive. I've kept it w/ geos, festae an juvie cichla in my 240. This says they max out at 11.8 cms, but I think its more like 6 inches.

It definitely holds it own and has grown to around 4 inches or so. 30 seems a bit high at that sizze imo.

They'll eventually get to 8" or so...takes awhile. Not aggressive enough to hold their own with CA.
