Aerator for kiddie pool?

I'm not sure what kind of aerator I need for a kiddie pool - would a cheap pump and an air stone work? Can anyone recommend a brand?

Set up filtration return well above water surface, so when the water(exiting from the filter) falls back into the pool, it will cause splashing thus agitation to the water surface
