So I was just doing some random digging around and found the picture below and fell in love... Just wondering:
A) what's the actual ID on it?
B) info on it? Size? Aggression compatibility (particularly with SA/CA cichlids)? Any other useful info?

Papyrocranus afer, sometimes known as the arowana knife fish.It is my all time favorite of the knives and I currently have a twelve incher though it does not have nearly as many spots as that beauty. There is supposedly two separate species and the one with more spotting may be the other one.I certainly have never seen that one in any shops or I would have one.Mine gets along fine with it's tankmates and it eats pellets but fish that are small enough to be eaten will be in danger.

Papyrocranus afer max size 32" super aggressive would need large cichlids that wouldnt kill the knife. Polys and gars are good. Depends on the temperament of the knife.

I actually found some even more amazing pictures of them but they had like water mark stamps on them from a different site so I wasn't sure if it'd be polite to post them. Anyone else on size? Not that I don't trust you seance but the only thing I read was saying 2 ft and the pictures I'm finding don't look like nearly 3 ft fish.

More like 2ft in aquaria 3ft wild but then again many factors play into growth

My last Pom Pom was a terror. Awesome looking fish but don't know if I have the heart to try them again after my first experience.

Got eaten by my black wolf ... :(
