Anyone have any luck keeping an african aro with their rays? I am not sure if this dopy fish will mouth the backs of the rays too much, but I would like to add him into the ray tank.

I just purchased a silver aro to occupy the top half of my 150 gallon, seems to be workin out fine, rays in the bottom, aro in the top

Yeah, but Africans are different from Silvers. Don't know about this combo. Anyone ever tried this? If now one has, you might be the first!;)

ive seen this.... larger ones would work better not small ones that are filter feeding off the bottom

This combo sure gonna work, just make sure your new aro size and ray size not much different. My aro like to sit on top of my ray which make me nervous about it but they seem pretty awesome together :D

btw which one is african aro? you got pic? good luck with your combo ;)

Mine is about 10 inches and can eat mysis shrimp, but it is still a ballistic ahole rumminging around on the bottom. Not sure if this will cause problems for the rays.
