African Arowana Twitching out!

My African Arowana has suddenly become INSANE everytime I turn off the room light he rams into the tank lid he even scraped his head. I added Pima/Melafix. Anything else I can do to prevent him from ramming himself unconcious?

Leave the room light on!!! I had my silvers freaking out and sinking down and lyin low when i switched off the room lights.. more of the porch lights.. i dont use tank lights.. so i just put a real dull light bulb and they seem to have enough light and all well now..

what is your tank set up and wate parameters? do you have decor in yr tank? & how big is the aro? have u changed anything with the tank before this started?

i always have a moonlight on for my aros.. it works wonders..

He stopped now it's a 20gal Long with Sponge filter and AC30 and is completely bare. Something has changed my power had gone out(twice now) and I believe this was why he was twitching out....I did leave the room light on....I just did a WC so I honestly don't believe that will help for another day or two.

PS: He's ~7"
EDIT: And Connor I may get some moon light for my 180gal

Another idea is to add e dimmer to your rooms light switch. this way you can reduce the light step by step so the aro wont freak out. this is what i use with my green when she gets nervous.
