Im wondering if african arowana are legal in usa if so where would you be able to find them at. That is the one fish I have not seen yet in lfs

yes they are legal, idk where to find em right now as they are not in season, only hope is personal collectors

Yep, they're legal. However, because they're extremely fragile at less than 8", they're not normally carried in any lfs. Adding to the lfs's problems would be that the young afaros would require separating due to they're aggression towards conspecifics.

they are legal.. but i agree.. they are too hard to keep.... most die from starvation.... when young they dont know how to eat.. and if they do.. they are easy to die due to the temperature issues as well.. I've lost 4.....

Nope is not illegal in USA. I just found 2 store in Hawaii. Honolulu. Selling them very cheat only $15. They looks pretty cool so I brought 20 of them for $200. If you want I can do shipping but you gotta pay the shipping fees. Call me for more information or E-mail me. yuhsien1478963@gmail.com. #276-9057.

You don't know how to take care that's why. If they ignore the regular food you have to put live food like Comets, Shrimps, Brine shrimps, or bloodworm. I got 20 of african Arowanas and They loved Shrimps and Bloodworm. I loved to raise fishes. I been taking care almost 50 arowanas. Etc. Wild Silvers, Australian Jardinis, Yellow tail Jardinis, African arowanas, Black arowanas, and Royal Clown Knifes. I don'y really want to sell them because they r my babies.
