The pet store here was selling a bunch for about $29 each, they were about 5 to 6 inches long. By my understanding they are tricky to feed. I passed because i did not want to wind up spending big bucks buying enough frozen bloodworms to feed a 25-inch fish.

i got a 3" one for $15
 
they are filter feeders a the younger stages of life so need constant access to food it would be easier to get a bigger one.

They're actually always filter feeders but if times are tuff they'll eat small feeders....
