Hello to All!

I'm new to the boards, so this is my first thread. I am new to keeping predators and this baby is my first addition. I purchased the Barracuda a few days ago for about $40 and its quite the aggresive fish I must say lol I have added a Florida Gar to the tank and I am so interested in these two.
Has anyone else kept a Afr. Barracuda or had experience with them? Any input given is much appreciated.

Most likely Hepsetus odoe, cool fish, will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. Some have a bad attitude and with their teeth that can be a problem. I have kept 2 8" together with spotted gar, red snook, & clown loachs, and had no problems except they would slice each other up but nothing too bad.

Here are mine with one of my spotted gars.

Yep thats the guys! I haven't seen one before and they had it labelled as an African Barracuda. They seem to be pretty aggresive and it hasnt gone near my pleco or yo-yo botia yet.

African pike is the more used "common name", they tend to punk fish that swim in the same part of the water column and have the same shape. Congrats, they are very fun to watch, slamming any meaty food placed in the tank.
