Hi all, I have been thinking about getting an ABF for some time now. My main concern is the amount of feces the animal will produce. I've heard they poop a lot and I don't want to be cleaning poop every single day. I'm fine with once a week.
So:
has the amount of feces posed a problem for you ABF owners?
does the frog poop mostly in the substrate or the water bowl?
how often do you feed?
anyway to sex juveniles and is any breeder offering sexed juvi's?
do your males vocalize a lot and is it bothersome?
anyone keeping these frogs at room temp? (mine is consistently 69-70 deg)

I have a 5-6 year old female ABF that I've had since she was the size of quarter.

has the amount of feces posed a problem for you ABF owners? No, she poops once about a 4-5 days after I feed her

does the frog poop mostly in the substrate or the water bowl? She does both.

how often do you feed? Depends on the food item, once a week to once every other week. I only feed her if she's awake.

anyway to sex juveniles and is any breeder offering sexed juvi's? Juveniles can't be sexed.

do your males vocalize a lot and is it bothersome? My female croaks on occasion.

anyone keeping these frogs at room temp? (mine is consistently 69-70 deg) Room temp is too low for this species, you should have a warm side that is in the low to mid 80's. Your frog will most likely go into brumation if not provided with warmer temps. Hope this helps.
 
Ok thanks, I'm most likely going to get one. is the poop easy to spot clean or is it runny and soaks into the substrate easily?
