Decided to post this here in the arowana section, as butterfly fish really are fancy little arowanas
Anyways, I had one some time ago, but sadly he was eaten by ome of my bichirs, as he was boldly laying claim to the entire surface of the tank. He was nearly 10cm, to the tip of the tail extensions. Most sources I find list their max size at about 12cm, but does this include the rather long tail extensions? Or just the "fleshy" parts of the fish.
Would love if someone has an answer, as I'd really like another butterfly fish in my tank, but it would be pointless if it maxes out at snack size..
