I had recently bought 3 African Butterfly Fish from Petco. That has been 3 days ago now and none of them seem to have any interest in eating. I have tried frozen bloodworms, frozen beefheart, flakes, moths, ants, and live wax worms. They seem to notice it being there but not eat any of it. At one point I was dangling a wax worm around the tank and one swam up and opened its mouth making it seem as if he wanted to take a bite but no bite. I have heard that they like crickets a lot and will probably go out and try to buy some. Should I be concerned at all or is this not really a big deal?

Could be still a little stressed from being in a new tank. Try some floating plants to reduce stress.

Then try the food again and if not then try the live crickets. Should take without any problems.

My one that I had took a while to eat as well, give them time. Better if the food moves

Mine loved spiderlings

Unrelated to eating but I've also found that my plated mollies are nipping on their fins. Earlier I put a wax worm in and it was near the AFB and the mollies swam up examined the worm but then bit the AFB several times. Is this a problem?

Platies may cause nipping issues

That can stress the fish out.

Alright I'll probably move the mollies to another tank if any more problems continue.

How big is your tank?
In the store they usually feed them flake try it see if it works
-also with butterfly or hatchet fish I like to drop the water down half way which is why they do well in taller/longer tanks.
Why drop the water down half way?
To watch them fly -obviously
