african butterfly fish

i have read that these guys can take up to 1.005sg brackish but im not sure of that, and whether 7.8ph would be suitable for them. Anyone have any experiences trying this fish at light brackish?

African butterfly fish are strictly FW fish, preferring med-soft water--the exact opposit of hard, salty water.
