African Cichlid Breeders

Brad, depending on where you are located in Ohio, there are quite a few hobbyists that are also breeding various African cichlids and always share either fry or almost adult fish at local club meetings every month.

Do you have information on any clubs or what not? Anything I could follow on social media?

Ohiocichlid.com is the Ohio Cichlid Association and they do have a facebook page as well as a link to the forum they use. They are a strictly cichlids and catfish club for the most part.

Neo-fish.com is an all species club and a lot of members keep cichlids.

Greater Akron Aquarium Society is another club with active cichlid members.

Medina County Aquarium Society also has cichlids available from many members.

I'm not sure if the last 3 clubs have a facebook page as I don't use facebook and their websites may or may not be searchable but most update their info regarding upcoming auctions and events.

Where are you located as I may be able to direct you to a local club in your area?

Also I’m located near the Akron area
 
Well you are close to all the monthly club meetings so check out their websites and consider attending a meeting if you can. There are always fish available at the monthly auctions and you can always ask if anyone has a certain species you are looking for.
