African Cichlid Flow Rate

Hey Guys,

I have a 46gal bowfront with a FX5 and 8 various african cichlids. I was just wondering how much flow these fish can take. I'm pretty new to the hobby and I don't know a lot about these fish (they came with the tank).

Can they take a lot of flow from the filter?

Do you by any chance know the names of the cichlids that you have?
As long as the fish don't seem to be caught in a whirlpool and are able to swim i think you would be fine.
