African Cichlid ID - Hap?

[Chemical Dependence]

I was at my LFS picking up a couple of Peacocks and saw this guy and made a random purchase without knowing what it is
The person there said it’s probably a Hap.
Any ideas?

Agree protomelas family. Does appear have more blue developing in the body than you’d expect a red empress to have, so Ndiwe is likely, but similis also have a blue body when mature. It will be difficult to know which one specifically until it colors up fully.
