I was told this is a colored down sunshine when i picked him up..
im not sure now.

that's an awful lot of yellow for a fish that looks to be about 2-2.5" Could be a benga, but me thinks it was juiced.

I dont think he was juiced these came from a reputable dealer who gets his stock from local breeders who i know some of.
The yellow is only strong in certain light most of the time hes quite dark without the silver that the juveniles have. Im wondering if hes a hybrid maybe a bega/sunshine. only time will tell.
 
That one in the other post looks like a Benga, but they are hard to tell apart when small. Maleri's will have more blue in their face than just on the jaw as they grow older.

Just an update this female? has darkened up so im watching the morph into adult with bated breath because this might a good breeder .
lol when i was looking up variations of the different islands they are listed as bi color and peacock sure makes it sound easier.
If i can get on the forum where Larry Johnston lurks i will be sure he can nail it down.
