I posted these pictures in a different topic which was for other reasons but re-posting for id opinions and a few questions.

According to posts in the other thread these are the 9 fish I have but looking for confirmation:

Blue cichlid: Aulonocara nyassae
Black and white (with blue): female Maylandia lombardoi
Brown & black: Placidochromis milomo
Leopard print: Nimbochromis venustus
3x silver dollars
2x clown loaches

First off .. Opinions on the cichlid ID's, and if able to tell gender that would be great too. More information on the species I have would be appreciated as well.

Currently in a 33 gal tank. Fluval 405 running on it and it is at 24 degrees celcius.

Questions:

1) What temperature should the water be at for this combination of fish?

2) how much and often I should feed (feeding them 1mm cichlid new life spectrum sinking pellets)

And any more information would be great too!

I would feed 2-3 times a day and the blue cichlid is probably an electric blue ahli. The temp I keep my fish at is about 75-78. Try and keep somewhere in that range and they should be totally fine. Good luck. Keep me updated :)

Thanks! I believe you are right about the ahli, looked up pictures of both and mine looks just like the ahli, with the yellow in the fins etc. everything else I had listed looks good though? Another thing I'd like to know is growth info .. Max size and growth rate of the cichlids I have.

okay. Everything else looks good. The only cichlids I honestly know are the blue ahli because I breed those a LOT lol. The venustus the clown loaches and the blue one with black and white stripes looks like a kenyi cichlid. Probably a female at that. kenyi's grow to a max of about 5-6'' and ahlis go to 8'' if your lucky. The venustus people say can grow to 10.5'', but the biggest I have seen is about 8 inches. That was one cool looking fish when it got that big though. If you want your cichlids to grow really fast I would do small feedings about 4-6 times a day and do a 25% water change once a week. Once they get bigger like 4'' each then slowly switch to 2-3 times a day. Then when they get really big switch to a 1-2 a day and they should do great. Good luck with your cichlids :D Keep me updated

Correct on all the ID's but I agree with cant009, its a electric blue ahli...

Electric Blue Ahli (Sciaenochromis ahli) - Max size: 6-7 inches
Kenyi (Metriaclima Lombardoi) - Max Size: 6 inches
Placidochromis Milomo - Max Size: 8-10 inches
Nimbochromis Venustus - Max Size: 8-10 inches
Silver Dollars - Max Size: 4-6 inches
Clown Loaches - Max Size: 12-14 inches (grow slowly)

I'd keep your temperature for them all at around 80 degrees.

I completely forgot about Sciaenochromis fryeri when I was thinking of an ID and came up with Aulonocara nyassae :duh: . But in all seriousness, how can anyone tell them apart??

From what I can tell the aulonocara nyasse has a much taller tail fin and doesn't have the yellow/red/orange anal fin like electric blue's have. It also seems to have taller over all fins like there top fin is a lot longer on the back end. A lot of people say the electric blue and this fish are one in the same, but I beg to differ because of the difference in fins. Other than that they are pretty much the same.
