Can you keep at least 2 africans together in a 20 gallon tank..?

Depends. What kind of africans are you looking at? You could have 6 tanganyikan shell dwellers, but a lone auratus might be pushing it.

thats kind of the thing to..idk what kind of african cichlid would be nice color, semi good personality and overall a good cichlid even if its african..

Shell dwellers really won't have the color, they are mostly silver fish.
Similis or multifasciatis would be cool, alot of personality, but you may not like the silver with darker stripes.
Lamprologus ocellatus has kind of a gold form and "blue" form.

yup I would go with shellies.... they have intresting personallities too.

Here is an occellatus gold..

Yes they live on the bottom near the shells and will dart into them and breed in them. A good shop should have one or two types.

thnx mike you know your stuff so im gonna most definetly believe you:)
