My Albino caught doing it with a young one...is that even legal ? :D

How do I know if something really happend? Doesn't the female look really small to have babies? What should I do with the female now?
I've heard of people separating them or getting the eggs out of their mouths. When do I do that? Any tips/info? thanks

i wouldnt bother her. does she appear to be holding now? leave her alone dont get the eggs out she will take care of the babies fo a whil then after a certain amount of time u can seperate her and she will spit out the babies on her own when they are ready then u can just add her back to the tank.

her mouth looks full now...i read somewhere how some strip the fry out of the mom for more success? this is her first time.

i fed them bloodworms and they got horny all of a sudden :)

if u put her ina seperate tank she will let go off th fry alone. i would do alot of research on how to properly strip her if your going to go down that road. doing it wrong can leave her injured, or she will swallow some fry, or she will be stressed out. She seems small what about 2" . its not uncommon for them to breed this small.

She is definitely big enough to breed. Befor you strip them. I would give her a couple of time of breeding to get things learned. Then you can look at stripping. I would let her hold them for a while.

i think i'll let her hold them in a separate tank or a breeding net? and let her release them on her own? ive done it that way before and only one had survived out of about 7 fry...and this mom that's holding now is actually that one survivor :) ...she's about 2" now...

mike, i think its an mbuna...the dad is an albino zebra.

in the past ive left moms in the tank and didn't do anything about it thinking that's just how it's done, i saw several fry in little holes/corners peeking for awhile but they never survived though. probably got eaten. im trying to avoid that from happening.

so the female seem to be holding...her mouth looks full...but i noticed that one of the similar sized male (i think its a male) has been attacking the holding female since...i decided to separate the mom and put it in a net...i guess i can keep her in there till she spits them out? but why does the other cichlid keep attacking her now? i posted a vid and notice how the orange cichlid with 2 spots on her body is still guarding the net.
