Is it possible to have a bumblebee cichlid and Green Terrors in the same tank? I know they arent from the same country, adn are totally different fish, but has anyone tried? and can anyone tell me if it would work or not??

Thanks

the bumblebee might very well get the best of the GT, too aggressive IMO, especially if both are small

Why do you think the Green terror was named green terror? probably because they're a fish that is green and a terror. The bumblebee has not reference to aggression in it's name, it's name is referring to it's color pattern

Is this seriously how you judge a fish temperament?

DO not do it if they are small
africans may be small but very crazy at times
my 4 inch demasoni has wooped my jaguars ass! be careful!

the GT's are smaller than the African, but not by much, its a 75g so im trying to figure out if that is enough room, or if it might not be a good idea, thanks for the input so far. What about Oscars? are they the same as GT's? I know they are both SA and the other is not ....

Most green terrors aren't terrors til they are big, however they do seem to get stessed and diseased real easy. Most of the paring issues will come from each fishes individual personalities, temperment, dietary requirments, and desired territories. IMO and I know others will firmly disagree - 75 gal is a good size tank for 1 Green Terror no tankmates. 75 is a good starter for an Oscar but will need to upgrade. 75 gal for multiple mbunas - perfect.

if both of the fish are small, the chance is very good that the GT will get destroyed by the bumblebee..which in reality is more aggressive than the green terror, despite its name, since you can't judge a fish's temperament by its name. When adult, with the GT's size and everything, it is a different case though
