Ok so I decided to turn my refugium filter into a full blown aquaponics system. I have a 50 gallon media bed with clay pebbles, red wiggler earthworms to eat the excrement, and I am growing snow peas, cucumbers, lettuce, and watermelons. After the water passes through the media bed, it dumps into my original sump and is pumped back to the tank. Now on to my belated question: I have an intermediate chamber in the sump and was thinking about growing duckweed to feed the fish. Any thoughts on whether africans will eat duckweed?

I have duckweed in 2 tanks and occasionally get some in my p. Saulosi tank when doing maintenance and its always gone by the next wc. The tank is in my office which I dont frequent so I've never seen them eat any but based on algae on pothos growth the duckweed should be thriving.
