African cichlids with Clown Knife?

Hey guys, I've got about a 6 inch silver clown knife and was wondering if he could go into my Malawi tank I want to set up. The knife is very hardy and not overly aggressive but lethally defends itself already against large convicts.
Can my knife live with africans?

eventually he will eat them until that time they should be fine assuming the tank is large enough and not over stocked.

What about rate of growth? If he can't fit them in his mouth they should be alright, shouldn't they?

I'd be more concerned that the africans will pick on the knife. I'll hang out and see what the experts say.

It would be touch-n-go 'till the tipping point is reached. Even if none of the cichlids harasses the knife it will one day start eating them, and I can't think of any way to predict when that day will come exactly.

I think the AC may kill it before it gets large.
