Is there a way of identifying a certain breed if they are fry ? Should i wait until they get closer to maturity to identify them ?

A good amount of fry can be identified when very small if you know what to look for.

Some of the fry will change colour when they achieve maturity. Some stay the same colour. There are quite a few mbuna females that look similar and you will only be able to ID them when they get closer to maturity. I try and keep the fish that look similar seperated whilst growing them.

that is a breeder cage put the female in it when she has fry they can swim out and get away not my aquarium but i have one just like it
