I have two Sen Bichirs, each about 2.5" long, tiny little babies in my quarantine tank. I also have a female African clawed frog that's about 2-3" long in the body in a 20g long living with one giant, fat guppy that for some reason the frog chose to spare! I need to get two fish from the LFS (two died during quarantine and need to replace them before the 2 week period) and I know the Bichirs are too small to go in with my 6" bichir, 6" Brown African knife and 7" Ompock catfish or in the 50g with my fat ass Oranda and 10" pleco, but do you guys think they'll be alright in the 20g with the frog?

Mind you I'm attached to the frog as much as the Bichirs so it would have to be safe for both species. This would be just until the Bichirs get a decent size on them to live with the other carnivores.

Thanks,
Kash

I think bichirs might try to eat frog's limbs...and if the frog is too big can eat or try to eat bichir, which can be disastrous for both

It i remember correctly I read in some thread that African clawed frogs are a natural food for bichir species. Although at this point id be worried about the frog eating the bichirs

Well, they've been living together peacefully for almost 2 months now. My frog is pretty laid back and the bichirs don't seem very interested in live food just yet. The giant guppy and ghost shrimp are still in there with them too!
