African Clawed Frogs Shedding?

My african clawed frog seems to shed, is this normal?

She then proceeds to eat the shedded skin......ewww

That can be a mucus coat like a fishes slime coat and usually a response to some kind of contaminants in the water. It is normal for them to eat it. Give me a minute to find a link for you.
The good news is that they do shed there skin, mainly in spring and it is normal so unless the frog is showing other symptoms you should not worry.
