Hi,

Who has kept these frogs before? I have mine in a 3 gallon. I plan to add a betta to the tank soon. But I am giving the frog a chance to get used to the tank and feedings before I add anything.

These frogs can sometimes be a challenge to feed since they are small and also are slow feeders/responders. What kind of foods do you feed? I've had mine only for a day and its eaten a little bit of frozen blood worms. I am going to try small piece of cut up earthworms later. I know you can feed live bloodworms too.

I was thinking about some kind of sinking pellet. Anyone hear of HBH frog and tadpole bites? I may buy it. All comments/suggestions/stories welcomed

frog and tadpole bites rock, also keep them on sand, they tend to not find the food when kept on gravel. mine went from a skinney baby to a fat old female in a week on sand and the hbh frog and tadpole bites, bettas are an awesome tank mate btw.

Yeah my betta doesn't even bother pond snails. So hopefully he won't hassle the frog. I got some anubias nana on driftwood and some dwarf sagittaria in the tank too. Little bit of java moss. Needs to grow though.

I got gravel in the tank. But so far it hasn't been a problem.

i started on teh hobby with these. I used a turkey baster to feed. I fed a mix of frozen tubifex, blood worms, and pellets. I also used a small terra cotta lid buried in teh substrate and fed them over that each time. At feeding time, they learned to go there to eat as they are clumsy and don't see very well.

A three gallon tank is not a tank. I would suggest you get that to at least a ten gallon, the betta added should not be a problem though.
